NKJV Acts 9: 22 “But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ”.
CEV Acts 9: 22 “Saul preached with such power that he completely confused the Jewish people in Damascus, as he tried to show them that Jesus is the Messiah”.
If you want to go higher with God and grow spiritually, start praying in the spirit at least an hour every day. As a result, you will see so much power in your life.
Consistency in our spiritual walk with God generates increasing power. Show me a person of great consistency, courage, passion, and action towards a life he is convicted of living, and I will show you a man who is likely to walk in strength. When we rise to our call as Christians and grow consistently in Christ, we will continue to increase in strength and power.
The Word of God Says that Paul increased in power and boldly proved to the Jews beyond doubt that Jesus was the Christ. The gentleman increased in power after his encounter with Jesus Christ because he did not settle for mediocrity, but got on straight to work. No wonder, Heaven entrusted him with so much power for the work of ministry.
Imagine the early church without Paul; 13 Epistles of the New Testament would not have been in existence. He was literally poised to go all out for Jesus. Because he was already a Scholar of the Old Testament, he could easily bring to bear the Messianic Prophecies of the Old Testament that Jesus Christ Fulfilled completely. There was therefore no point of doubt that Jesus was the expected Messiah anytime Paul testified about Jesus.
When we do not get casual in our walk with God, but take God and His Word seriously, we inevitably experience increase in God’s Power. There were a number of Christians before Paul who got converted, but then it is obvious that his zeal, boldness, and determination to serve Christ and preach the Gospel set him apart as God’s chosen for the Gentile nations.
I want to challenge us all. Pure and unadulterated power still flows from on high. Heaven is ready to back the serious Christian with power, if only he will walk with determination, boldness, and obedience to God’s call upon his life. As we do that, it shall also be said of us; ‘We increased in power”. May God help us.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I purpose in my heart to rise up in seriousness towards You. Please Grant me the Grace to be consistent, disciplined, and passionate about Your Calling over my life. Help me LORD,
