Titus 2:14 – “He gave himself for us to set us free from every kind of lawlessness and to purify for himself a people who are truly his, who are eager to do good.”
Today, our Heavenly Father wants us to affirm our purification with our actions. If truly we have been purified for Jesus Christ, we will be eager to do good.
Apostle Paul made it clear that, those who have genuinely gone through purification for Jesus Christ are always eager to do good. Such people hate evil and ungodliness and have a strong desire to do good.
Today, many of us have become very selfish and offer every service with selfish gains as our motivation. This is probably because of the ‘survival of the fittest’ system of this world. It has become difficult to do good. In the midst of a world with such challenges, those of us who have received Jesus Christ as our Lord and have been purified for Him must live a good life. We must lead a good life and do good to others.
Let us be eager to help people who go through suffering, especially our fellow Christians. Giving must be part and parcel of us all because Jesus Christ has given Himself to us, so we will also have a better life. Let us cease every opportunity to do good to others.
Today, I want to challenge us all. Let us do good without expecting anything in return from people. Let us help the disabled, the aged, and those little children who go hungry all day. With one act of goodness at a time, we can share the love of Christ with the world around us. Amen.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being good to me. I ask that You strengthen me to do good to all people, without being selective or selfish in the process. From today, I will be eager to do good at all times. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
