ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m DR HENRY AMO MD born in a relatively small Eastern Regional Capital in Ghana called Koforidua. I have 2 children – 1 girl (Henrietta Amo-Mensah), & 1 boy (Patrick Amo). I completed my medical training on 28 August 1990 with Bsc (Human Biology), MB, ChB. After the 6 years training in General Medicine, I worked at KATH (Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (Aka: Gee) for about 2-3 months before I came to UK here on 30 December 1990. On my arrival, I went straight to Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital in (Wonford, Exeter). I spent 12 weeks in Exeter before I came to London in 1991.

I did the ‘conversion’ exam PLAB quick & passed it one-time. By late 1991 I started work with the Orthopaedic Surgery team in Kings College Hospital (KCH) London.
