Titus 1:6-7 – “An elder must be blameless, the husband of one wife, with faithful children who cannot be charged with dissipation or rebellion. For the overseer must be blameless as one entrusted with God’s work, not arrogant, not prone to anger, not a drunkard, not violent, not greedy for gain.”
Today, our Heavenly Father wants to Admonish us to be blameless. We must not give grounds for any enemy of the cross to accuse us or blaspheme against our God.
Apostle Paul, after explaining to Titus the main focus of a Christian leader, instructed him to be blameless as a leader entrusted with the work of God. In terms of character and his or her family life, a leader must be blameless.
God wants us all, not just church elders, to be blameless in word and deed. We are all leaders in one way or the other, irrespective of our age. We may not be perfect but at least, let us live as true examples of Jesus’ Disciples.
Also, we must learn to be patient and not be arrogant, because we will surely be provoked to our limits. There must not be a hint of drunkenness, violence, or greed in our lives and ministries. These are traps that put the servant of God to shame.
Today, I want to challenge us all. Let us walk blameless in everything we do. It is not as easy as it may sound, especially when we are surrounded by many temptations. However, with the help of the Holy Spirit at work in us, we can walk a blameless life on earth, to the glory of our Father in Heaven. Amen.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I commit my life and family into Your hands. Help us to walk in purity, nobility, and in integrity. In all we do, may we be considered as good examples and true followers of Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
