Luke 1:37 – “For nothing will be impossible with God.” — (ESV)
Have you ever found yourself staring at a situation so overwhelming, so tangled, or so painful that it felt utterly hopeless?
Maybe it’s a health diagnosis that rocked your world. Or the longing for a child that goes unanswered. A relationship fractured beyond what seems repairable. Maybe it’s financial hardship, anxiety that won’t loosen its grip, or a battle within yourself that you can’t seem to win.
When we find ourselves in these dark and disorienting places, it’s easy to wonder if God sees us at all, much less if He’ll show up. But what if the very nature of God is to step into the impossible?
A YOUNG GIRL AND AN ANGEL
Imagine being Mary: A teenage girl in a quiet town, living a quiet life. Then one day, an angel appears and tells her she will give birth to the Son of God.
It was unimaginable. Logically, biologically, socially impossible.
Yet the angel Gabriel doesn’t hesitate. He speaks a promise that echoes through generations:
“For nothing will be impossible with God.”
– (Luke 1:37)
God was doing something miraculous—not just in Mary, but through her. And that same God is still working in ways that defy logic, break through fear, and overcome impossibility.
THE GOD WHO SPEAKS POSSIBILITY INTO OUR “NO WAY”
Mary’s story isn’t a one-off miracle. It’s a reflection of God’s heart for humanity.
Throughout history, God has made the impossible possible, not to impress, but to restore, redeem, and invite us into His bigger story.
He brings light to darkness. Peace into chaos. Life from death.
He doesn’t promise a life without pain, but He does promise His presence in it—and the power to work through it for good.
Whether it was calming storms, opening blind eyes, or walking out of a sealed tomb, Jesus showed again that our limits are not His.
WHAT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE TO YOU TODAY?
The impossible doesn’t intimidate God. He’s not surprised by your struggle. He’s not shaken by the size of your need. He already sees how your story unfolds, and He’s not absent in the waiting.
If you’re facing something today that feels too heavy, too broken, or too far gone, don’t lose heart. The same God who brought the Savior into the world through a virgin teenage girl—who raised Jesus from the dead—is the same God walking with you now.
He’s not distant. He’s not disinterested. And He is not done.
HOPE IN THE UNSEEN
We often want instant answers, immediate solutions. But God often works in the quiet and the waiting—in ways we can’t always see or understand.
What we perceive as delay, He sees as preparation.
What feels like an ending, He may be shaping into a beginning.
The real miracle is not always the changed circumstance. Sometimes it’s the changed heart. Sometimes the impossible thing God overcomes is the doubt inside us, the fear that has taken root, or the lie that says, “This is the end of the road.”
But in Christ, no road ends without hope.
CHOOSE TO BELIEVE AGAIN
Today, whatever your impossible looks like, let this truth sink deep into your soul:
Nothing is impossible with God.
Not because we believe hard enough or do everything right, but because His nature is faithful. His power is unshakable. And His love is relentless.
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to trust the One who already does.
So pause. Breathe. Pray.
And dare to believe that God is not just able—but willing—to meet you right where you are and write a story you couldn’t have imagined on your own. Amen.
