Psalms 68:5-6, NET – “He is a father to the fatherless and an advocate for widows. God rules from his holy palace. God settles those who have been deserted in their own homes; he frees prisoners and grants them prosperity. But sinful rebels live in the desert.”
Psalms 35: 27 “Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which HATH PLEASURE IN THE PROSPERITY OF HIS SERVANT”.
PROSPERITY – Simply stated it means no lack, ie Act; 4, 34 –(Neither was there any among them that lacked… Prosperity is not only having money in abundance (not just being rich, but also enjoying it. God’s plan is for us to have life in abundance, to the Full, till it overflows. Jn, 10; 10 Biblical prosperity means well-being in your spirit, soul, mind, body, & also in your finances.
Prosperity is not evil, prosperity is good (3 Jn: 11), God desires that you prosper (3 Jn: 2), our prosperity is God’s pleasure, (Ps; 35, 27b), and prosperity is all about God, (Deut: 8, 18), because He is establishing His Covenant: God will not rain money from the sky, but He Will give you insights, idea, etc, through which you can get financial prosperity (Deut; 8, 18).
THE WORD is The Power of God to us – Gives Preservation, soundness, healing, and prosperity to those who believe. When you receive the Gospel, prosperity power comes with it. Until your soul prospers you can’t get outward prosperity…and it’s THE WORD That prospers the soul. Those who love The Kingdom will be successful; if you love The Kingdom peace, and prosperity will be at your home, (Ps; 122, 6-7). Misfortune follows the sinner but prosperity follows the Righteous, so stop sinning.
To achieve prosperity be where God tells you to be; He told Abraham to go to Egypt in times of an earlier famine but in another famine, He told Isaac not to go to Egypt. The key was not, going to Egypt or not going to Egypt, but it was about following God’s instructions. Be where God told you to be & He will Favour you, (Gen; 26, 1-3). Hearing & obeying God will lead you to a place of prosperity – don’t be proud. Listen to & obey Him, to avoid captivity & bondage.
If you are not deeply rooted in Jesus, the more success, good, etc God makes you, will drive you away from Him; We are His children & He Wants us to prosper, but He doesn’t Want prosperity to drive away us from Him because He values our relationship.
Life is full of challenges and many end up in several disadvantaged positions, as a result of one or two unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances. Some end up fatherless, as widows, deserted, or imprisoned. In the midst of the challenges, however, God has good news for us.
King David indicates clearly that God Almighty has taken it upon Himself to father the fatherless, advocate for the widow, settle the deserted, and prosper the disadvantaged. Of truth, there have been numerous occasions where God personally picked up a person of no hope and established him as a wealthy noble. King David is a perfect example of what God can do for a lowly person to reign as King.
Precious one, you may be suffering extremely to the extent that you see yourself as being neglected by God and loved ones. However, be assured that the God who fights for the fatherless, sets the captive free, and settles those deserted in life, is still in the business of prospering people.
Beloved, the main concern is about trusting and depending on God. Do you trust God enough to depend on Him for your daily bread and Divine prosperity? Unforgiveness closes the door to your prosperity, but it opens the door to illness, poverty, etc.
I want to inspire us all today. We serve a loving God, who is concerned about the pains we go through and He is ever ready to help the oppressed to have a transformed destiny. May God grant us prosperity, Amen.
