Mark 16:15 “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.’” — (NIV)
If you’ve ever received life-changing news, you know how hard it is to keep it to yourself. Whether it’s a job offer, a healing, a relationship, or a long-awaited breakthrough, good news is meant to be shared.
That’s exactly what Jesus had in mind when He gave His final instructions to His followers: “Go into all the world and share the good news.” These weren’t just parting words—they were a clear invitation into a bigger mission. One that began with Him and now continues through us.
The “good news” isn’t just a catchy phrase. It’s the truth that changed everything: Jesus came to bring hope, restore what was broken, and offer a new kind of life—full, free, and forever. And this message isn’t just for a select few. It’s for everyone.
A STORY WORTH TELLING
The Gospel of Mark opens with Jesus declaring the arrival of the Kingdom of God—a new reality breaking into the world, where grace reigns, healing flows, and freedom is available. From the very start, Jesus made it clear that His mission wasn’t just to teach—it was to transform lives.
That same message echoed in His final words. As He prepared to leave earth, He commissioned His disciples (and by extension, us) to continue what He began. We’re not called to save the world, but we are called to point people to the One who can.
Sharing the good news isn’t about having all the right words or a perfectly rehearsed speech. It’s about telling your story. It’s about being honest about the difference Jesus has made in your life and inviting others to discover that same hope for themselves.
You don’t need to be a theologian. You just need to be real.
THE GOSPEL IS FOR EVERYONE
Sometimes, we make the mistake of thinking that people aren’t interested in spiritual things, or that talking about faith is too awkward. But deep down, everyone is searching; for peace, for meaning, for hope that lasts. The message of Jesus speaks to those very needs.
At its core, the good news is this: because of Jesus’ death and resurrection, no one is too far gone. No past is too messy. No heart is too hardened. Through Him, there is always a way forward, always a second chance, and always a new beginning.
And that gift? It’s not just for you and me. It’s available to everyone. Our role is to simply share it. Pray, Then Speak
SO HOW DO WE BEGIN?
It starts with prayer. Ask God to place specific people on your heart—friends, family, coworkers, even strangers. Pray for their hearts to be open, for their questions to lead them to truth, and for their pain to draw them closer to healing.
But don’t stop there. Ask for boldness. Ask for opportunities. And when the opportunity comes (whether in a deep conversation or a small act of kindness), be ready to share what Jesus means to you. Your faith story doesn’t have to be dramatic to be powerful. If it’s real, it’s enough.
Remember: the Holy Spirit does the heavy lifting. Your job is simply to show up, speak up, and let love lead the way.
YOU WERE MADE FOR THIS
There is nothing more meaningful than playing a part in someone else’s redemption story. When you share the hope of Jesus, you’re not just passing on information—you’re planting seeds of eternal impact. You’re offering light in someone’s darkness and pointing them to the One who truly saves.
So today, don’t keep the good news to yourself. Let it flow out of your life, in your words, in your actions, and in the way you love others. Because this world desperately needs the hope you carry. And your story may be the bridge that helps someone find theirs. Amen.
