UNLIMITED: TAPPING INTO GOD’S INFINITE STRENGTH

Eph 3:16 – “That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man; (NKJV)

Have you ever allowed yourself to imagine what life would look like if you had no limits?

What would you do if you had access to unlimited resources? Would you build homes for the homeless? Fund medical breakthroughs. End hunger across nations. Or maybe you’d travel the world, support struggling families, or create spaces where every child feels safe, seen, and loved.

The idea of having no limits is almost beyond comprehension. We live in a world of constraints: limited time, energy, money, and capacity. We get hungry, tired, and overwhelmed. We reach the end of our emotional rope, our mental strength, and sometimes, our hope.

And yet, God—our Creator and Sustainer—is not limited.

The apostle Paul, writing to a young and diverse church in the city of Ephesus, expressed something breathtakingly profound:

“I pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources, He will empower you with inner strength through His Spirit.”
— Ephesians 3:16 (NLT)

Pause and let that sink in: God’s resources are unlimited. That means there is no shortage in His ability to strengthen you. No ceiling to His capacity to comfort you. No expiration date on His love or faithfulness.

THE SOURCE OF TRUE STRENGTH

The kind of strength Paul talks about here isn’t physical strength or worldly power. It’s inner strength—the kind that holds you steady when life falls apart. The kind of strength that whispers peace in the storm and reminds you that you’re not alone.

God doesn’t offer temporary fixes. He offers a complete, sustaining presence through His Spirit. He strengthens us not just for survival, but for transformation—from the inside out.

This isn’t about being perfect or having it all together. It’s about being rooted in something deeper than our circumstances. Paul goes on to say that God’s Spirit empowers us so we can experience the height, depth, length, and width of God’s love—a love that surpasses human understanding.

WHY DOES GOD EMPOWER US?

It’s one of the most beautiful mysteries of faith: that an all-powerful, all-sufficient God chooses to work through weak and imperfect people like us. He could do it all himself—and perfectly so. But instead, He invites us into the process. He gives us a purpose. He equips us with His Spirit. And He does it through His limitless resources.

That means no matter how weak, tired, unqualified, or empty we may feel, we can still be vessels of His power and love. We are not defined by our limitations. We are defined by His supply.

LIVING FROM A PLACE OF FULLNESS

When life gets heavy (and it will) remember this: you are never expected to do it all on your own. The weight you feel was never meant to be carried without help. God’s strength is available. His resources are available. And they don’t run dry.

So, when you feel like you’ve hit a wall, ask yourself: “Whose strength am I relying on?” If the answer is your own, it’s time to return to the source. Time to rest in the truth that God’s supply is not only sufficient, it’s endless.

God doesn’t just fill the gaps when we fall short. He becomes our strength from the very beginning. He empowers us through His Spirit to live, to love, to persevere, and to thrive—even when the odds are stacked against us.

REFLECTION

Are there areas in your life where you’ve been operating from a place of scarcity instead of abundance?

What would change if you truly believed that God’s resources were available to you—not just in theory, but in practice?

Open your heart today to receive the strength and power God so freely offers. Remember, God is not limited—and neither are the possibilities when His Spirit is at work in you. You’re not alone. You’re not empty. You’re not stuck. The unlimited grace and strength of a limitless God empower you. Amen.
