(NKJV) “And we all, with unveiled faces reflecting the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another, which is from the Lord, who is the Spirit.”
(CEV) “So our faces are not covered. They show the bright glory of the Lord, as the Lord’s Spirit makes us more and more like our glorious Lord”
How will you feel if you stand in front of a mirror and realise that the image in the mirror is not yourself? For example, if the image indicates that a part of you is missing, what would you do?
Ideally, the image of a person ought to be a true reflection of that person. Paul the Apostle, in 2 Corinthians 3 sought to compare the Glory of God as seen in The Old Testament with God’s Glory in Christ Jesus in The New Testament. He explained that The New Testament Revealed a Much Exceeding Glory. If under The Old Testament, a man could walk so much with God that his face glowed when his people looked at him, then for us in A Far Glorious New Testament Dispensation, we are supposed to encounter our Heavenly Father even more.
Our LORD Jesus Christ Demonstrated Exceedingly Great Power beyond The Old Testament while on Earth Physically. He Walked on the sea, Raised the dead, Cast out devils, Silenced storms on the sea, and Resurrected from The Dead. There is no prominent figure that is at par with Christ. With all these Supernatural Exploits Done on Earth, Jesus Says, those who believe in Him are expected to do even more than before.
“I tell you the solemn truth, the person who believes in me will perform the miraculous deeds that I am doing, and will perform greater deeds than these, because I am going to the Father.” (John 14:12). The point is: we are to walk in The Power of Christ and even go ahead to do more.
Precious one, you will agree with me that there are some levels of God’s Glory and Power that we have not been walking in as a generation. We have been Given so Much Power as Children of God yet many Christians are not growing in it. When God looks at Himself in a mirror, he ought to see us as His Reflection. Reflect His Glory!
It starts by you getting into The Word of God, The Bible Is a Mirror for us: Every one of us is being changed from Glory to Glory by looking in The mirror of The Word of God, until eventually we look like Jesus. Looking like Jesus comes from looking at Jesus (The Word)
Heavenly Father,
please Help me to increase in Your Glory and reflect Christ in everything I do. Bless me LORD,
in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
