DESIRE FOR A DEEPER DIVINE EXPERIENCE

Habakkuk 3:1-2 – “This is a prayer of Habakkuk the prophet: LORD, I have heard the report of what you did; I am awed, LORD, by what you accomplished. In our time repeat those deeds; in our time reveal them again. But when you cause turmoil, remember to show us mercy!”

Hello Precious one. Today, we want to join hands and voices together to pray for God’s Supernatural deeds in our lives.

Habakkuk made a significant prayer before God Almighty in our scripture lesson for today. He was requesting for God to repeat those miraculous acts He did among the Israelites. He had heard and read the Supernatural acts as stories and histories but then he sought for a PRACTICAL divine experience.

The prayer of Habakkuk shows us that revival is a work of God, not the achievement of man. There is something man can and must do for revival – simply cry out to God and plead for His reviving work. Habakkuk demonstrates two ways we can ask God to renew his deeds in the present. First of all, pray for both personal and corporate revival.

Habakkuk recalls the mighty works that God has done for his people in the past, and he prays that God will act on their behalf again. However, he knows that when God’s anger is stirred against sinners, Israel’s enemies may not be the only ones to suffer.

I want to draw our minds to two important attitudes Habakkuk expressed before God: 1. He desired for a deeper practical experience of God, and 2. He had great reverential fear of God. I believe these attitudes are keys to a more supernatural walk with God. I am not satisfied with where I have reached in my walk with God. I want more divine experiences daily.

His prayer brings to bear:

The truth that God is an eternally existing God – who has not changed (Heb. 13:8). If He has been the God of Miracles in the past, He is still the God of Miracles today.,

Our walk with God shouldn’t be confined to only the historical testimonies and miraculous accounts documented in the Bible. God can work those Miracles in our lives today.

Instead of giving up and leaving it to Satan and his forces, we need to remember God’s great works of the past and to pray that He will visit us again. This is exactly what Habakkuk did. We read in Habakkuk 3:2 – “Lord, I have heard of your fame; I stand in awe of your deeds, O Lord.

Precious one, I want to inspire you today. From now on, let Habakkuk’s prayer be yours also. It is our time to also walk in the healings, miracles, prophetic operations, and the supernatural life that the early apostles experienced. Fear God and desire His glory and He will  surely renew His great works in your life. Amen.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, please I have heard and read Your wondrous works. Please renew these Miracles in my days. Show mercy on my loved ones and I. Bless us LORD,

In Jesus name, amen.

QUESTION FOR MEDITATION

Is it really possible for God to use me mightily in my generation?
