NKJV, 2 Peter 2:14-15 “14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children: v15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness”
CEV, 2 Peter 2:14-15 “14 All they think about is having sex with someone else’s husband or wife. There is no end to their wicked deeds. They trick people who are easily fooled, and their minds are filled with greedy thoughts. But they are headed for trouble! v15 They have left the true road and have gone down the wrong path by following the example of the prophet Balaam. He was the son of Beor and loved what he got from being a crook.”
Precious one, we are in a very delicate season of human history. Some nations, leaders, and people worldwide have decided that whatever God considers abominations will become normal daily practices. People are engaged in all manner of ungodly acts but the question is; are you one of such people?
Apostle Peter gave a vivid description of those God will be unleashing punishment on soon. This includes those of us whose eyes are full of adultery. God have Mercy on our generation. This is the generation in which many Teens are involved in the cycle of dating, kissing, premarital sex, and then break up. Are you one of them?
Very soon, God will be releasing His wrath against those of us who have trained our hearts for greed, and love the wages of unrighteousness. Due to the insatiable love of wealth, some of us have gotten into the habit of using immoral means to acquire wealth. As long as money keeps coming in, they don’t care if the means may destroy other people’s lives. Are you one of them?
Peter also made mention of those who though they knew the right path to life, have deliberately forsaken it. These are people who enjoy sinning to the extent that, even when there is no temptation, they go around looking for sin. Satan is not the only one to blame for our evil deeds; we are fully responsible for our actions. That is why the expression, “It was the work of the devil” will not be an excuse on Judgement Day.
Precious one, why don’t you join the numerous faithful servants of God worldwide committed to loving and living for Jesus Christ? Why forsake Him when you know deep down your heart that you need Him? Why should the Holy Spirit struggle before you go to church, pray, and read your Bible? God will soon release His wrath against all lovers of sin; are you one of them? Be born again, because born again people will Rapture from the earth before the Wrath comes.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, please Forgive me for indulging in any of these ungodly acts. I purpose in my heart to be committed to holiness. Grant me the inner strength to effect changes in my lifestyle where necessary and Bless me in all ways. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
