Romans 8:18-19 – “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”
The Scripture says, “the creation eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God,” which gives the sense that creation itself is anticipating the certainty of the future revealing, appearance, disclosure, expression, or manifestation of the sons of God (Romans 8:19).
It has always been God‘s intention to have children that bear His Image and function like Him. This was first expressed in the creation of the first man Adam, who was later referred to as a son of God (Luke3:38). Despite the fall of Adam, the purpose of God for mankind remained the same.
when Jesus comes, a magnificent dimension of glory will be revealed in us. All of creation awaits that moment when God will unveil to creation, those who are His sons. When you are Anointed by The Holy Spirit and you let Him Direct you, His Direction is Never Wrong
Apostle Paul had this glorious moment in mind and that comforted him. The sufferings he had endured for the sake of the Gospel was nothing to be compared to that day of manifestation. It is just like working with all your mind fixed on the salary at the end of the month. No matter how long it takes, you know the salary will come. John also expressed his joy this way: “Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3:2).
Let us note also that not every suffering we go through is for the sake of the Gospel. Some Christians walk in disobedience and when they face the painful consequences, they go about declaring that they are suffering for Christ.
When you sacrifice your comfort to spread the Gospel in the midst of all opposition, you are suffering for the sake of the Gospel. Even in our comfort, many of us are lazy about sharing the Gospel yet expect to be Glorified with Christ. It is time to be a good servant of God. If you cannot go to the fields, be committed to sponsoring those who have left everything to propagate the Gospel. Your clothes, money, prayer, and encouragement can help win a soul. Those who suffer with Christ shall be Glorified with Him.
Today, I want to inspire you; there is a day of outdooring and unveiling of those who have fought a good fight of Faith. All creation is waiting for that glorious manifestation of the sons/daughters of God. It is my earnest prayer that I make it to God’s final list. I pray you also make it.
PRAYER
Heavenly Father, it is my earnest prayer that I will make it to the Heavenly City when Christ comes in glory for the Second time. Strengthen me with Grace as I do my best to be part of those to be manifested on that day.
