JESUS IS THE FATHER TO THE FATHERLESS

Psalms 68:4-6 “Sing to God! Sing praises to his name!  Exalt the one who rides on the clouds!  For the LORD is his name!  Rejoice before him!   He is a father to the fatherless  and an advocate for widows.  God rules from his holy palace.   God settles those who have been deserted in their own homes; he frees prisoners and grants them prosperity.  But sinful rebels live in the desert”.

Hello precious one, do you feel deserted, betrayed, cheated, or counted inferior by many people? Do you feel your quest to stand for Righteousness has caused you to lose valuable opportunities in life? Well; I have Good News for you. God settles the deserted, fatherless and the Righteous in places of comfort and prosperity.

Jesus’ aim is to show orphans Mercy, care, and protection, and because these waiting children are essential to Him, they should also be essential to us as His Church. “Jesus defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and Loves the alien, giving him food and clothing.” He says, “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.”(John 14:18). A Christian full of The Holy Spirit is not helpless – you are not an orphan.

As it stands today, it is indisputable that one’s promotion and opportunities in life are largely based on ‘connections’ and corruption. It is either you know someone at the top who can push you up the ladder of success, or you should be ready to pay your way up through bribery of all kinds. For our dear young ladies, sometimes the bribe being demanded from them is their bodies for sexual gratification.

This puts the Christian in a difficult position today. Is there any hope for those who have no ‘connections’, no fathers/mothers and the deserted? Is there really hope for those who want to stand for Righteousness, and succeed through hard work? Beloved, that is where God comes into the picture.

David with a joyful heart declared: ‘God purposely fathers the fatherless, settles the deserted in a place of rest and frees those imprisoned by the woes of life’. To father primarily means: to take full responsibility for the upkeep, growth, and well-being of another person. God knows Satan will always try to twist worldly systems to frustrate His children. Therefore, He stands as a strong pillar in support of His own.

I want you to be encouraged today. Maybe you find yourself in a troubling situation in which you lack human helpers. Today, you may be in desperation but tomorrow will come as a joyful testimony. Your Heavenly Father has risen with deliverance and favor in His wings. Cheer up and continue to depend on Him; He will lift you up.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for being the solid pillar that holds my life. Be thou my ‘connection’, hope, and stronghold. Bless us, LORD,

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
