Isaiah 41: 10 – “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”
Isaiah 43:1-2 – “But now so says the LORD who created you, O Jacob, and He who formed you, O Israel; Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. 2. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned; nor shall the flame kindle on you.”
When Adam sinned and died spiritually, the first thing he did was to hide from God, because he was afraid. That’s when fear began in this planet. Fear is NOT OK. God knows everything that His children go through in every season of life. He knows that some of us are feeling the extreme impact of fire in our lives. Others are being carried away by the pressures and currents of life.
Fear does not have the power or the right to usurp authority over a human being who has made the decision to live above fear. Why? Because God is on his side! Death is the master fear. That’s where fear starts, and it is bondage (Hebrews 2:9-15). If you don’t know Jesus as your LORD, then you have a lot to be afraid of.
We have been delivered from fear. “Fear not” is not a suggestion: It’s a Command. “Fear not” 365 times in one form or other, in the Bible – one for a day, se God tells us ee not fear. “Stop the fear” is a Command from God. Don’t let fear get to you. Jesus was not afraid; He was Obedient unto death (Philippians 2:8).
Faith and fear are both spiritual, unseen forces that are exactly opposite. One is Faith in God and the other is faith in death. We know that Faith comes by hearing and hearing by The WORD of God (Romans 10:17). fear too comes in a similar way, by hearing the lies of the devil.
God is saying over and over to His people, “Fear not!” If God says, “Fear not!” that means you don’t have to fear. When God tells you to do something, He will always supply the power and ability for you to do it. Being redeemed means you don’t have to fear.
There is a promise of God’s Word that will overcome every opportunity you have to fail. There is not one thing satan can bring at you that God’s Word cannot overcome. You are the deciding witness! The only chance Satan has with you is to get you to operate in fear and talk fear. You don’t have to choose fear, you have to choose Faith.
Remember what God says in Isaiah 54:14: He has established us in righteousness. We shall be far from oppression for we shall not fear! Terror shall not come near us! What a promise! God was stating that His people could look forward to a life without fear. You have God’s Word on it. You can be far from oppression, because you shall not fear! satanic oppression and fear are closely connected.
In 2 Peter 1:3-4, we are told that we have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness by the divine power of God and through the exceeding great and precious promises. Then it says: “that by these (exceeding great and precious promises) ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust”. Everything that pertains to life and godliness is covered by one or more of the precious Promises of God in His Word.
Any fear satan can bring to our minds is a fear of failure of God’s Promise, since there is a promise that covers everything in life. Fear of sickness is actually a fear that 1 Peter 2:24 is not true. Fear of financial failure is actually a fear that Philippians 4:19 is not true.
Beloved, sometimes, we may even wonder whether being faithful to God is worth the suffering. However, God wants us to know that, if we do not give up, we will soon celebrate His Goodness in our lives.
Our God wants to Assure us, as He did to Israel through the prophet Isaiah, that He will continue to be with us. If God stands with us, there is no cause for fear of being destroyed anytime we go through the challenges of life. If God had the Power to create us, then He has all that it takes to equally Protect and Prosper us. If God could totally pay a ransom for our redemption, then God can equally open doors of escape from every trap set by the enemy.
Precious one, if there is anything we ought to always remember, it should be the evidence of God’s Presence in our lives. As for the fire and the overflowing waters, you will surely walk through them; that is life. However, when they so happen, remember that God is with you to insulate and shield you from the hea, and to also be a strong defence wall against the torrents of life.
Remember, satan cannot create; he can only pervert. He has never originated anything! Therefore, you can be sure that whatever satan says or promotes was originally covered by God’s Promises and paid for by Jesus. Even if you don’t know where in the Word the Promise is, you can know there is one. That is enough to drive fear out long enough to go to the Word and the Holy Spirit, locate the Promises that cover your situation, and then stand on them in Faith.
Child of God, if you know this, you will not be afraid in this life because you know that God is with you. Do not be afraid or overwhelmed by the current circumstances you may be going through. God will see you through.

Heavenly Father, thank You for this great assurance of Your Presence in our lives. Please continue to protect and prosper us LORD; we remain faithful to You, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
