(NKJV): Ps 75:4-7 “I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn: Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck. For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another”.
(CEV): Ps 75:4-7 You tell every bragger, “Stop bragging!” And to the wicked you say, “Don’t boast of your power! Stop bragging! Quit telling me how great you are.” Our Lord and our God, victory doesn’t come from the east or the west or from the desert. You are the one who judges. You can take away power and give it to others.
Living a Victorious Life in Jesus
Your total victory is in The Blood of Jesus. If your mindset lines up with The Word of God you will walk in victory, success, etc. Persistent determination is the key to victory: Don’t give up. We must praise The Lord for every victory in our life; Not only are we saved by Grace, but our dally victory is also by Grace. The quest for victory is a natural desire everyone has right to, from birth. In fact, we know that we had to even go through a race and win in the womb, before emerging victors to be born. The bottom line is that we all desire victory. The person who lives by Faith will not change his/her lifestyle even when circumstances change
Now let us look at some (but not all the) key scriptures:
2 Kings 18: 14-26 – the enemy speaks words to attack your confidence, because your confidence makes you bold: Victory needs confidence.
Eccl 9: 11 (I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all) – There are afflictions even to The Righteous but victory is guaranteed. Battles are real but much more real is our victory
Iss 33: 22 – God Will Give you victory
Jer; 17: 5 – God (Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD) – trusting God leads to; Blessing = empowerment to get victory. Thus, continuous Trusting is the highway for a continuous victory
Eze 18: 20-24 – if you give God’s Word First Place in your heart & you obey Him you will be Blessed – The devil is doing has best for us to despise (have a low opinion of) WORD. God Wants to Bless us if we honour His WORD. We are trying to bring WORD down to human level.
Jn 1: 14 – you have Creative WORD in you so when you speak, it things happen – you win victory after victory
2 Cor 2: 14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
Christian victory will not happen without you renewing your mind. To renew your mind is to exchange your thoughts & beliefs for God’s. Renew your mind with WORD and get new idea, beliefs, way of thinking, etc (in line with God’s Word. Now that you are born-again, renew your mind – let your intellect be renewed: renewing your mind is a continuous process, ie not a one-day event, but for life The Christian walk is not just spiritual, but also an intellectual walk. Be spiritual intellects, otherwise the devil can come & deceive you. Be careful satan wants to destroy your life. It’s spiritual intellectualism that’s going be required: Read/learn/study WORD. Set your mind to do what you learn
Salvation is a life of victory – don’t live like the world the whole week, and then go to Church on Sunday and act hrly. Salvation will Get you into The Lamb’s Book of Life in Heaven, but without renewing your mind you will not have victory on earth here When you walk with God & your heart is good you will walk in victory. Do not react to the same problem the same way – in times of trouble wait on God & He Will Give you victory. I believe that victory, success, Healing, etc are obtained through our Faith in The Blood of Jesus.
Learn to live in victory whilst you are here on earth. Avail yourself to The Word of God, if you want to have the victory Jesus Died for you to get – study, read, & listen to The WORD preached. You will not have victory if you let the devil tell you that you are nothing. You are not fighting for victory but you are fighting from victory – you have already got the victory: Jesus Obtained Victory for us, at The Cross. Satan Has power but we have got more power, & Greater is He That is in us…world (1 Jn 4; 4), you are above not beneath, you are child of God & you have been bought by The Blood of Jesus – so you are to reign as kings on earth – that’ victory.
You may be going some difficult situations but if you have Faith, you will know God is Bigger than all those problems – If you cry to Him with Faith, victory will be yours. Our protection from satan is in The Word of God – know it, love it, obey it, & use it against him – if you don’t learn to speak The WORD back to the devil then you will not have victory. The spoken WORD is very powerful, so if you can believe WORD & speak it of your mouth you will get victory. When The Holy Spirit Makes Himself Clear to you, you will get victory
Finally, we need to appreciate wholeheartedly that promotion does not come from the east or the west or the wilderness. Promotion does not come from anywhere but from our Heavenly Father. I want to encourage us to be humble and look up to God alone for our victory in life for He has the Power to Bring one person down and exalts another. True victory comes from God Most High alone!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I humbly ask for Forgiveness for any act of pride or any form of wickedness I have been involved in. I look up to You alone for victory in this life. Bless me LORD,
