Ephesians 6:12 NKJV, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
Ephesians 6:12 CEV, “We are not fighting against humans. We are fighting against forces and authorities and against rulers of darkness and powers in the spiritual world”.

We are involved in a spiritual battle daily – they are demonic Eph 6; 12 – these demonic forces want to destroy your life through strongholds – the first place of attack is to infiltrate your thinking so it’s contrary to the Word of God. Ignorance of how they operate makes you a candidate for them.
We war not against flesh & blood, so your circumstances are not your problem, & the people who annoy you are not your problem. There’s something behind those, that is the real problem. Sometimes satan works through a person to annoy you all the time. Be careful so you don’t fall into satan’s trap & became angry at people.
We need to fight off the devil with The Word: Learn enough of The Word to know What Parts to go to, depending on what problem he brings to you. Don’t sit there let him ‘beat’ you up with his lies, deceptions, and the mind tricks. We are not fighting against an intellectual devil, don’t let him succeed. Speak words of Faith and stop the fire before it starts today! Do as the Apostle Paul says in (Eph 6:16.)
The Word consistently defeat devil. We must learn to talk back The Word to the devil eg; when the devil tempted Jesus in the wilderness. Always when the devil comes to you in mind, say the Word to him just as Jesus Did. Matt 4; 4 – “But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.”
Do what it takes to get your Faith Strong so that you can fight off the enemy. Spend time in THE WORD to build up your Faith so that whatever problem will come you are ready for it. We have to know The Word so we can speak The Word to the devil when he attacks us.
In her classic book, War on the Saints, Jessie Penn-Lewis writes, ‘The chief condition…for the working of evil spirits in human beings, apart from sin, is passivity.’ That’s why the apostle Peter urges us, ‘Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour’ (1 Peter 5:8 NLT). Have you ever seen a hungry lion devour its prey? That’s a picture of what Satan is out to do to you. And he will use things like pleasure, power, pressures, possessions, passions, and people to do it. Paul tells us to be on guard ‘so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes’ (2 Corinthians 2:11 NLT).
How can you defend yourself? Neil Andersen says, ‘Our defence against direct attacks by the evil one is to speak aloud God’s truth.’ Why speak aloud to Satan? Because God knows the thoughts and intents of your heart – Satan doesn’t (see Jeremiah 17:9-10 and Psalm 139:1, 23-24). When you’re in Satan’s cross-hairs, remember: ‘Surrender to God! Resist the devil, and he will run from you’ (James 4:7 CEV).
Take these two powerful steps:
First, talk to God before engaging the enemy. ‘Call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver you’ (Psalm 50:15 NKJV).
Second, talk to the enemy. Keep it short and authoritative! ‘Satan, in the irresistible name of Jesus, cease all activity against me now. Leave and don’t return!’ Will he obey your Faith-Filled words, and flee.
Don’t forget, we are not fighting people (Eph 6: 12). We are not each other’s enemy, the devil & the demons in hell are our enemies (Eph 6: 12). Fighting (or being angry with) human beings is not going to solve your problem, because you are fighting the wrong person and you are using the wrong weapons, 2 Cor 10: 4
God Has Given us THE WORD to stand fearlessly against the devil, re-enforcing the victory that Jesus Won for us. Know The Scriptures and quote back THE WORD to the devil when he is attacking you (your mind)
