(NKJV) Mark 1:35-38 “35) And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed. 36) And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. 37) And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. 38) And he said unto them, Let us go into the next towns, that I may preach there also: for therefore came I forth.”
(CEV) Mark 1:35-38 “35) Very early the next morning before daylight, Jesus got up and went to a place where he could be alone and pray. 36) Simon and the others started looking for him. 37) And when they found him, they said, “Everyone is looking for you! 38) Jesus replied, “We must go to the nearby towns, so that I can tell the good news to those people. This is why I have come.”
Keep your heart fixed: Be focused: you have a destiny to fulfill, your Divine assignment. In this life, a lot of things battle for our attention. However, it will take a great deal of focus for you to fulfill your Divine assignment. We have to be actively focused. When Jesus was Focused on The Word & life never bothered him, He Put First things first ie: God focused, not things focused to achieve His Divine assignment. Be in Faith & let The Love of God Transform the way you think; stay focused & never give up, & see The Goodness of God.
Our Lord Jesus Christ was Able to achieve a lot within 3 active years of ministry. One major factor that made this possible was FOCUS. On one occasion Jesus went to pray. His disciples searched for Him because the crowd wanted to be with Him. His answer to the disciples was a clear indication tht He could not be manipulated by the demands of the crowd. Thanksgiving & Praise will let you stay focused on your Divine assignment but murmuring & complaining will keep you focused on the Divine assignment. Because thanksgiving & Praise will keep the devil quiet not to interfere with our Divine assignment.
Prov; 4 v20 – we should give attention to God’s Word: What are you watching, listening, etc – all these can leave strong holds in your minds. Stay focused on WORD (v23).
The fact that everybody was looking for Him, did not imply that He had to satisfy all that people expected of Him. He Told His disciples, “Let us go to the next villages that I may preach there also. For this is why I came out”. Our Heavenly Father Demands such an attitude from us; that we will be so consumed with our life vision that we do not play to the tune of the majority. Now, we have Christ, so be completely focused on Him; have confidence in the Word than in anything and your trust should be in Christ – Keep your heart fixed on Him and that will let you achieve your Divine assignment on earth here.
Do you have a God-defined vision for your life? Before Jesus began His day, He spent time getting to know His Father’s Will. He knew exactly what to Do in each day. Before you come out of your room each day, do you have a mission for that day? Of course: we may not be able to determine every occurrence, but at least a daily short-term plan towards a lifelong vision is very important. Get focused (determined on The Word of God) to fulfill your Divine assignment.
I have come to admit the fact that I cannot do everything or help everybody in this life. All the people who will come close to you would want you to do something for them, but the question is: ‘are these in line with God’s Will and vision for my life?’ Jesus was a Healer, but He did not Move from house to house looking for the sick. He Focused on His Divine assignment, Preaching and Teaching the Gospel.
If God Puts a vision in Your heart, pursue it wholeheartedly. Don’t let the comments of people manipulate your life. Be a man/woman of vision and focus. This is not to say that we should not help or listen to counsel from Godly people. The help and counsel should be with reference to what God instructs us to do each day. May God help us. In these times you have to get focused on The Word of God to fulfill your Divine assignment.
Satan has got strategies to bring confusion into The Body of Christ; so be careful, do not be caught off-guard – STAY FOCUSED ON JESUS, The Word of God to be able fulfill your Divine assignment.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, please Help me with Grace, discernment and courage to pursue Your Purpose for my life daily. Help me to stay focused in the midst of the numerous attractions of life. Rain down Your Blessings on my labor and Prosper me in all that I do.
