YOUR LOVE BROUGHT US THIS FAR

NKJV, Isaiah 49:15 – “Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.”

CEV, Isaiah 49:15 – “The Lord answered, “Could a mother forget a child who nurses at her breast? Could she fail to love an infant who came from her own body? Even if a mother could forget, I will never forget you.”

This week is special to most of us because it is a week set apart to celebrate women. All of us are on earth and have come so far in life because of the love of a woman/mother.

The bond between a mother and a child is so strong and is characterized with great love. This love is so strong that God found no other perfect reference to His Love for His children, other than the love the mother has for her child. Can a mother forget her baby who nurses at her breast?

Beloved, though in our day and age, some women give birth and throw their babies away, it is extremely rare and unusual for a mother to abandon her children. For many of us, our mothers had to fight as single parents to raise us to the levels we have reached now.

Our mothers had to sacrifice their dreams, aspirations and desires so that we can see ours come to pass. The compassion,  great concern, and empathy they demonstrated anytime we went through pain, are things we should never forget.

A good and virtuous mother is always clothed with strength and honour; and she shall rejoice in time to come (Proverbs 31:25). Of a truth, every one of us ought to purpose in his/her heart that he/she would cause the mother to rejoice in laughter in her due season.

I want to inspire us all today. Let us get in touch with our mothers, put our hands around their necks and let them know how much we love them. I don’t know about you, but for me, my mum is the  first and best Angel God sent into my life. We have come this far because of the love of our mothers. Blessed women’s day to all women, especially mine.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You so much for Blessing me with a great mum. She is an angel in disguise. Please remember her for all her labour of love towards us. Protect her, Bless her with long life and let her enjoy the fruits of her labour. Help me to demonstrate true reciprocal love to her. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
