Ephesians 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us.” (NIV)
Too often, the greatest barriers to God’s work in our lives are not external circumstances but the invisible limits we place on Him; and on ourselves. We may believe that our past mistakes, present struggles, limited resources, or personal weaknesses define what is possible. Yet God has never been confined by human limitations. His power, wisdom, and love are far greater than anything we can comprehend.
The journey of faith begins when we stop measuring God’s ability by our circumstances. Instead of focusing on what we cannot do, we learn to trust what God can accomplish through those who place their confidence in Him. Faith lifts our eyes from the size of our problems to the greatness of our God.
One of the most powerful ways to strengthen our faith is through consistent immersion in God’s Word. As we spend time reading, meditating on, and applying Scripture, our perspective changes. Fear gives way to confidence. Doubt is replaced with hope. Discouragement gives way to expectation because God’s promises become more real to us than the obstacles standing before us.
Faith is not wishful thinking or blind optimism. It is a confident trust in God’s character, His promises, and His faithfulness. The more we fill our hearts with His truth, the more our faith grows strong enough to face life’s challenges with courage and peace.
Sometimes we unknowingly place limits on ourselves by believing we are too weak, too old, too inexperienced, or too broken to be used by God. Yet throughout Scripture, God repeatedly chose ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary purposes. Their strength did not come from their own abilities but from God’s presence working in and through them.
God has placed unique gifts, purpose, and potential within every believer. When we surrender our fears and trust Him completely, He enables us to do far more than we could ever accomplish on our own. Every obstacle becomes an opportunity for His power to be displayed. Every challenge becomes an invitation to grow deeper in faith.
Taking the limits off God also means expecting Him to work beyond our expectations. He often answers prayers in ways we never anticipated and opens doors we never imagined possible. His plans are always greater than our own because He sees the complete picture while we only see a small part.
Today, choose to reject limiting beliefs and embrace God’s limitless power. Fill your heart daily with His Word. Speak His promises over your life. Walk forward with bold faith instead of fear. As you trust Him completely, you will discover that He is able to accomplish immeasurably more than you could ever ask, dream, or imagine.
Take the limits off God. Take the limits off yourself. Step forward in faith and watch Him lead you into the abundant life He has prepared for you.
