A LASTING SOLUTION

Romans 3:25  “Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation (Ransom) through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God”

Have you ever encountered a problem so overwhelming that no quick fix could solve it? Some challenges in life require patience, wisdom, and time before a lasting solution can be found. Yet there is one problem humanity could never solve on its own; a problem deeper than circumstances, failures, or broken relationships. That problem is sin.

Sin is more than simply making mistakes; it is the condition that causes us to live independently of God and fall short of His perfect design for our lives. Deep within every human heart is the evidence that something is not as it should be. We long for peace, purpose, and connection with God, yet our own brokenness creates a barrier we cannot remove ourselves.

The Apostle Paul addresses this reality in Romans 3, explaining that every person has fallen short of God’s glory. No one is excluded. Regardless of our background, accomplishments, or good intentions, we all share the same need for God’s grace.

Thankfully, God did not leave humanity without hope.

The greatest demonstration of God’s love is found in Jesus Christ. Rather than leaving us trapped in guilt and separation, God provided the answer Himself. Jesus stepped into our place, carrying the burden we could never bear and accomplishing what we could never achieve. Through His death and resurrection, He opened the way for us to be restored to a living relationship with God.

What makes this gift so extraordinary is that it cannot be earned. It is received through faith. Jesus has already done everything necessary to reconcile us to God. His sacrifice was complete, sufficient, and final.

This truth carries tremendous freedom. Many believers continue to carry the weight of past failures, replaying old mistakes and wondering if God has truly forgiven them. Yet the cross stands as a permanent reminder that Christ’s work is greater than our failures. The forgiveness He offers is not partial or temporary; it is complete..

Because of Jesus, we no longer have to live defined by our past. We can walk confidently in God’s grace, knowing that our sins have been dealt with and that we have been welcomed into His family. The solution God provided is not temporary relief; it is a lasting transformation.

If you find yourself holding onto guilt from yesterday, remember this: Jesus has already paid the price. What God has forgiven, you do not need to keep carrying. Embrace the freedom Christ purchased for you and live each day in the confidence of His unfailing love and complete redemption.
Amen
