Book of Isaiah 43:1 says:
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine.”
There is something deeply comforting about being known, wanted, and protected. In a world filled with uncertainty, rejection, and anxiety, many people silently wonder: Am I alone? Does anyone truly care about me? Yet God speaks directly into those fears with a powerful reminder: “You are Mine.”
Whenever someone gives us assurance, we naturally want to know the reason behind it. Promises carry weight when they are backed by love, commitment, and authority. God never gives empty encouragement. When He tells us not to fear, He also reveals why we can trust Him completely.
In Isaiah 43, God spoke to people who were overwhelmed by hardship and uncertainty. Fear had surrounded them, and their future looked unclear. But in the middle of their struggles, God reminded them that they were not abandoned. They belonged to Him.
That same truth still speaks to us today.
God’s love for us is personal. He does not see us as forgotten faces in a crowd. He knows our names, understands our pain, and cares deeply about every detail of our lives. His words are filled with tenderness: “I have called you by your name.” This means we are seen, valued, and deeply loved by our Creator.
The verse also reminds us that we have been redeemed. Through Jesus Christ, God drew us close to Himself and gave us a new identity rooted in grace and love. We are no longer defined by fear, failure, shame, or the opinions of others. We belong to God, and that changes everything.
Fear may still knock on the door of our hearts. Difficult seasons can make us feel weak and uncertain. Financial pressure, health challenges, broken relationships, or unanswered questions can all stir anxiety within us. But when we remember whose we are, we find strength to keep moving forward.
A child who knows they are safely held by a loving parent rests differently. In the same way, when we understand that our lives are in God’s hands, peace begins to replace panic. We realise that God is not distant from our struggles. He walks with us through every valley and remains faithful in every season.
Today, let this truth settle deeply in your spirit: you belong to God. He has not forgotten you. He will sustain you, guide you, and carry you through every challenge you face. Because you are His, you do not have to live controlled by fear.
