John 11:40 (NIV) “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”
God wants His glory to be evident in our everyday lives; not merely in extraordinary moments, but also in the ordinary places where we work, serve, struggle, make decisions, and relate to others.
God’s glory is the visible expression of His presence, goodness, power, wisdom, and faithfulness. Sometimes we see it through a breakthrough or an answered prayer. At other times, we experience it through the strength to endure, wisdom to make the right decision, peace in the middle of uncertainty, or grace to keep moving forward when circumstances have not changed.
Faith gives us the confidence to trust God before we see the outcome.
There will be seasons when what God has promised seems far away. You may pray and see no immediate change. You may have a dream that appears impossible, or face circumstances that seem to contradict what you believe God has spoken to your heart. Those moments can test your confidence.
Yet faith says, “God is still faithful, even when I cannot see what He is doing.”
This does not mean pretending that difficulties do not exist. Biblical faith is not denial. It is choosing to place greater confidence in God than in the uncertainty surrounding you. So, what should you do while waiting?
Keep believing. Keep praying. Keep obeying. Keep preparing.
If you are trusting God for an opportunity, prepare yourself for it. If you are believing Him for growth, develop the character and discipline needed to handle it. If you are praying for restoration, allow God to work in your heart while you wait. If you are trusting Him with your future, make wise decisions today instead of becoming paralysed by tomorrow.
Faith is not passive wishful thinking. Faith changes how we live while we wait for what we have not yet seen.
There may be times when God answers differently from what you expected. Even then, His faithfulness does not change. His glory is not limited to giving us everything we request; sometimes His glory is revealed through what He develops within us during the journey.
Therefore, dare to believe that God can work through your circumstances. Dare to expect His goodness. Dare to trust His timing. And dare to live today in a way that reflects confidence in the God who holds tomorrow.
You may not yet see the complete picture, but you can trust the One who does. Believe, not merely for what God can give you, but for His glory to be revealed through your life.
