(NKJV): Psalm 15:5 = “He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.
(CEV): Psalm 15:5 = “They lend their money without charging interest, and they don’t take bribes to hurt the innocent. Those who do these things will always stand firm.”
Use money and things to win people to the Lord, but don’t use people to get money and things: Giving to others is a powerful tool, use it to lift up people instead of knocking them down. God Blesses you more when you bless others with what you have. Be a blessing today my dear friend and God will double your blessings. Touch lives as you see a need coming your way. Offer to the needy and see the Healing that God will Bring to you!
Most of the things we do that make us experience God’s presence have to do with the way we deal with people. The Lord Judges our attitudes towards people as if we were relating with Him. When we lie to people, it is as if we are lying to the Lord.
Here are two things the Lord does not want us to do:Don’t exploit the needy. Israelites were Forbidden to take advantage of people when they were going through hard times. In ancient Israel, borrowing money was the last thing people would do if they were in need. Those who needed to borrow were in a desperate situation, usually on the verge of being sold into slavery to pay off their debts.
The principle, therefore, is that if someone came to you seeking for help, you don’t make their situation worse off.
The truly righteous would never exploit others in their time of need. Likewise, if we truly care about others, we will use our resources to help them, not take advantage of their unfortunate circumstances by seeking to profit financially at their expense.
The scales of justice in the ancient eastern world were usually tipped toward the rich. In both civil and criminal matters, the wealthy often bribed witnesses and judges. Average citizens—those who were not wealthy—were powerless and oppressed in this corrupt system.
God Would never Allow anyone to live in His Presence who uses their power to destroy those who have done no wrong. The thought must never even cross our minds.
God Takes how we treat people Personally (Matt 25: 45) How we treat people concerns God – if we think of ourselves more highly than others, we will definitely mistreat them; we exclude people; we must have a good attitude towards people; be humble. Caring about other people is one of the greatest things you can ever do – do things for people in your daily life, work colleagues, family. The world is more concerned with your talent, but God is Concerned about how we treat people
It is very important how we treat people: every day when you go out be God’s Representative & be GOOD to people – do not be selfish, help the people who are needy. Nothing makes life sweeter than making people happy. The people you help today become your soldiers in the battle of life tomorrow. To invest in properties is good but to invest in people is far, far better. Try to make money but try also to make people great. Your greatest trophies should be the tears you wipe away from people’s faces not the things you acquire. Don’t let an ingrate stop you from making others great.
We are supposed to get out into the world and live the Christian life. We don’t have to preach to them, but we should let our lifestyle (how we talk, how we do things, and above all how we treat people) be a Sermon. We must stand out and be different in the world eg in school, at work, in the market, etc
When you are around people they may not remember what you said to them, but they will always remember how you made them feel: whether you made them feel good and valuable, or bad & invaluable? How we treat people is very important to God. Treat everybody the same; poor, rich, etc
MAKE A COMMITMENT TO DO AT LEAST ONE GOOD THING EVERY DAY FOR SOMEBODY
Prayer: Heavenly Father, please Teach me not to take advantage of the needy; rather let me be a healer of the wounded.
