ECCLESIASTES 11:6 NIV

Eccl 11:6 NIV: “Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well”.

In the midst of the challenges and difficulties, life presents us: principles, precepts, and seasons. God Has Put all these in Place to govern life, and they are still effective and fervently at work. One key principle that governs life is that God Has Provided a season for everything, eg a season of sowing and that of harvest.

Because of this, no matter how it seems your good investments are not yielding results, do not stop investing in life. Ecclesiastes Provides us with rich wisdom from King Solomon, a man considered an epitome of Divine Wisdom. He is arguably the richest king to have ever lived in human history. He advises us to make investments a lifelong activity.

He says that continue to sow your seeds in the evening, in spite of the fact that you sowed some in the morning. In effect, whatever good or profitable activity you may be engaged in is worth continuing even if you do not see the results immediately. Also, it’s important to give yourself options of investment in life so that when one fails you may be able to count on the others.

Beloved, are you dependent on only your salary? Are there other important avenues God May be Encouraging you to invest in? Poverty is in no way an evidence of spirituality.

I want to challenge you today: God Will surely Bless us, but He Will Do that by Prospering the seeds of investment we make. This is not only in financial terms but also in investing our time, energy and relationships for a more successful life. Sow in the morning but don’t forget to continue in the evening. A word of wisdom from the Preacher in Ecclesiastes.

Heavenly Father,
Please Grant me Godly Wisdom and discernment to discover areas of my life you want me to increase investments in. Please Bless the seeds I’ve sown in life,
in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
