Psalms 33:8-10 (NKJV). 8) Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. 9) For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast. 10) The LORD bringeth the counsel of the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none effect.
We serve an Awesome God. Our God is Awesome & He Can Do anything. Stop asking for something all d time, and occasionally minister to Him; “God You are Awesome, Great, I thank you”. We don’t worship God to get something from Him, no we worship God because we Love Him, He is God, He is Awesome, He is Wonderful etc
God is Holy and Awesome, far above anything we can imagine, and completely free of evil and sin. But this Holy and Awesome God is also the One who Forgives our sins; He Came among us in Jesus and Poured out His Blood for all of us on the Cross, so that the burden of sin could be lifted from our shoulders.
God is Awesome. The adjective ‘AWESOME’ means to be someone or something that inspires a feeling of both fear and amazement. God commands ‘REVERENCE’ and ‘RESPECT’, and all those who see Him and the acts He does, wonder at His Greatness.
Job 9; 5-10 – We have to have a greater view of how Awesome/Majestic/Greatness of our God is – be careful you don’t belittle Him.
1 Sam 17; 47 – Our job is to believe that God will Do what He Said He will Do – THIS OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD.
Lessons
We live in a world in which we are surrounded by evidence of the Handiwork of an Awesome God
All the Wonders of Creation we enjoy on earth, came into existence as God Spoke and Commanded.
You and I are alive because God Commanded it to be so
All the earth therefore needs to fear God and worship Him
God Brings the Plans, thoughts and counsel of the heathen to no effect.
No wonder God Blesses those who do not follow the counsel of the ungodly
Awesome is God from His Sanctuary; the God of Israel – He is the One who Gives power and strength to His people. Blessed be God!
Prayer
Glory be to you oh Lord God Almighty. We worship and adore you. Forgive us for our failure in recognizing your Greatness through Your Creation. Grant us Grace to put all our trust in You rather than following ungodly counsel. Thank you, Heavenly Father for your Goodness. This I ask in the Mighty Name of Your Beloved Son, Jesus Christ. AMEN
