Isaiah 51:7 “Listen to me, you who know what is right, you people who are aware of my law! Don’t be afraid of the insults of men; don’t be discouraged because of their abuse!”
What you do when nobody is watching
Do what is right because it is right, & even behind closed. Make a decision to do what is right: Do what is right even if you have to sacrifice something. Do what is right when nobody is looking because God is always looking. We have to learn to do what is right just because it’s right, not because we want God to do something for us (We do not do what is right based on what we will get, but we do what is right because it is right). When we do what is right it eliminates fear from our life.
If you do what is right God Will Reward you, because of Heb 11; 6. We grow spiritually when we do what is right, even though we do not feel like doing what’s right. Control yourself & choose to do what is right no matter how you feel. As far you do what is right, God is Always Going to Take Care of you. If do what is right, you will always get the right result – do not be jealous of people who are Blessed because they did the right thing. As Christians, we should always want to do what is right. We don’t need to do what is right to get reward in our life.
In life, we tend to get surprised when a person who seems to know what is right but tends to do the exact opposite. It will be totally shocking for a high court judge to be involved in bribery and corruption. This is because, he is expected to know better and live honourably as his profession demands.
Sometimes however, a careful investigation may reveal that they might have been certain threats or fears leading to the compromise in conduct. Isaiah the Prophet, in our Scripture reference, gives a prophecy, encouraging those who know and stand for what is right to continue in their rightful conducts in spite of the insults and the abuse they may have to suffer.
It is unfortunate that these days those who seek to stand for what is right, end up being persecuted. This has caused many Christians to either take a silent position or compromise on their Godly convictions. However, God Almighty Wants us to continue doing what is right in accordance with His Word, even if it will attract insults or some form of abuse.
We should go ahead and stand for what is right, even if your boss tells you to be either corrupt or lose your job? Will you maintain your sexual purity, in spite of the mockery of perverse peers? Will you deny your Lord Jesus Christ when you are threatened with death? Will you compromise on your well-developed moral values because of insults or enticements of men?
Our Heavenly Father Wants us to be strong & courageous and not be afraid of the reactions and responses of men, when we seek to pursue His Will and His Word. May we receive Grace, to stand firm in doing His Will, irrespective of the oppositions that may rise against us.
Be a person of integrity; do what is right because it is right and not just to be seen by men and applauded. – do not let satan put fear into you that you will lose when you do what is right. While we are justified by Faith, we cannot let that become an excuse to not do works.
Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for the encouraging words today. Please Grant me Grace to be able to stand resolute in doing what is right always. May the Blessings associated with standing for You be evident to all, as encouragement to others that You are Faithful;
in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
