Proverbs 18:10: “The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” (NKJV)
LIVING CONFIDENTLY UNDER GOD’S PROTECTION
In today’s digital world, social media offers a feature that allows people to “mark themselves safe” after a natural disaster or crisis. With a simple click, family and friends are reassured that their loved ones are unharmed. While this feature is helpful, it points to an even greater reality—God offers a safety that no technology can provide.
No matter what is happening around you, you can be marked safe in the loving care of your Heavenly Father.
The world can often feel uncertain. News headlines are filled with wars, economic instability, natural disasters, sickness, and personal struggles. Fear can easily take hold when circumstances seem beyond our control. Yet God’s Word continually reminds us that our confidence is not found in the absence of trouble but in the presence of the One who never leaves us.
When we place our trust in Jesus Christ, we discover that God Himself becomes our refuge, our shelter, and our peace. His protection is not based on luck or chance but on His faithful character and unfailing love. Even when storms rage around us, His presence anchors our hearts with supernatural peace.
Being “marked safe” by God does not mean we will never face challenges. Rather, it means we never face them alone. Our lives are securely held in His hands, and nothing can separate us from His love. He walks with us through every valley, strengthens us in every trial, and surrounds us with His grace every step of the way.
Faith is choosing to believe that God’s promises are greater than our fears. Instead of allowing anxiety to dominate our thoughts, we can confidently declare that the Lord is our refuge and fortress. As we continually look to Him, fear gives way to faith, worry gives way to peace, and uncertainty gives way to confident hope.
Every day, we have the opportunity to rest in God’s protection. We can begin each morning by entrusting ourselves and our loved ones into His care, knowing that He is watching over us. His power is greater than every danger, His wisdom exceeds every uncertainty, and His love never fails.
The safest place in an unsafe world is not a location; it is a life hidden in Christ. When your confidence rests in Him, your heart remains secure regardless of what is happening around you. You can live each day with courage, knowing that your faithful Father is your refuge, your defender, and your everlasting peace.
So today, no matter what challenges you may face, choose to trust the One who never changes. In Christ, you are held securely by the God who watches over you day and night. With Him as your refuge, you can truly live as someone eternally marked safe.
Amen.
