PERSEVERE TO THE END

Hebrews 12:12–13 “Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.” (KJV)

Don’t Give Up Before the Journey Is Over!

Life is a journey filled with opportunities, challenges, unexpected delays, and moments when we feel like giving up. Sometimes, we get tired because our efforts seem fruitless, our prayers appear unanswered, or our progress is slower than we expected. In such moments, our Heavenly Father encourages us to lift our drooping hands, strengthen our weak knees, and keep moving forward. His message is clear: Don’t give up! Persevere to the end.

Perseverance means continuing to move forward despite difficulties, disappointments, and setbacks. Whatever our goals are, we will face obstacles along the way. Some challenges come from circumstances beyond our control, while others may arise from people who misunderstand us, oppose us, or fail to appreciate our efforts. We cannot avoid every difficulty, but we can choose how we respond. Rather than letting adversity defeat us, we can learn from our experiences and trust God to guide our next steps.

Remember, slow progress is still progress. You may not have achieved everything you hoped for, but that does not mean you have achieved nothing. Look back and recognise how far you have come. You are not where you started, and the lessons you have learned have helped shape the person you are today. Do not let today’s disappointment blind you to yesterday’s progress or tomorrow’s possibilities. Keep growing, keep learning, and keep moving forward.

Perhaps you are facing rejection, betrayal, financial difficulties, ill health, or a season of uncertainty. You may even wonder whether you have the strength to continue. Remember that God’s grace is available to sustain you through difficult times. You do not have to depend on your own strength alone. When you feel weak, pray to Him, draw encouragement from His Word, and take the next step with faith. Even when you cannot see the whole way ahead, you can trust Him to guide you one step at a time.

Furthermore, do not mistake a setback for the end of your story. Sometimes, what appears to be failure can become a valuable lesson that prepares you for a better approach. If you make a mistake, acknowledge it, learn from it, and begin again. If one approach does not work, seek wisdom and consider another. Perseverance does not mean stubbornly repeating the same actions; it means remaining committed to what is right while being willing to learn and grow.

Today, I encourage you not to surrender your hope because the journey has become difficult. Value in your faith, wisdom to gain from your experiences, and room to grow. You may be tired, but you do not have to stop. Rest and seek support when you need it, and rise again with renewed faith.

Keep your eyes on Jesus, trust in God’s faithfulness, and allow His grace to strengthen you. Whatever challenges you face, take the next step with courage. Do not give up simply because the journey is longer than you expected. By God’s grace, remain steadfast, keep doing what is right, and persevere to the end. All these are possible by God’s amazing grace. All glory to God!
Amen.
