BUILD YOURSELF UP IN YOUR MOST HOLY FAITH

Jude 1:20-21 – “20 But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; 21 keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.” (ESV)

Our Faith is what we have come to believe and know, as a result of what we have experienced from God. Anytime a person encounters God and receives Revelation from Him, his/her Faith is strengthened. That experience provides us with the certainty of hope; a kind that never fails. It goes beyond being hopeful of achieving materials on earth.

Beloved, this Faith we have come to receive in Christ Jesus is Holy. We must hold that Faith sacred. As preachers and ambassadors of Christ, we must not stain the Faith with immorality. We must build up ourselves in the Faith.

Jude encourages us to pray in the Holy Spirit. This implies we are connected, and in tune with the Holy Spirit in prayer. This kind of prayer is not like the 2 minutes prayer over our lunch; it involves spending quality time with God in prayer and allowing Him the space to Reveal spiritual mysteries to us. Until we pray for the leadership of the Holy Spirit, we cannot pray in the Holy Spirit.

Precious one, please keep yourself in the Love of God. This means that you have to remain in a constant fellowship of love with God. Don’t quench the initial love you had for God because of present conditions. Keep yourself in His Love.

I want to admonish you today; patiently wait for God’s Mercy that leads to eternal life. Even though it tarries, wait for it. Let us press on as His Mercy and Grace see us through. Our commitment to waiting, coupled with God’s supply of Mercy, will eventually lead us to eternal life. Build yourself in your most holy Faith.

PRAYER

Heavenly Father, thank You for showing Love and care towards me. Please Help me to build up myself with perseverance in my most Holy Faith. Please Grant me the inner Grace to pray in the Holy Spirit, that I may remain in Your Love. Strengthen me with Mercy, as I await the coming of Christ. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
