JAMES 1: 3-4

(NKJV): “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing”

(CEV): “You know that you learn to endure by having your faith tested. But you must learn to endure everything, so that you will be completely mature and not lacking in anything.”

(NIV): “because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.”

Let’s begin by defining some phrases;

1. testing of your Faith

There is a false doctrine, a false teaching, a false understanding, mistakenly taught in Christian religions (some Churches). They all wrongfully teach this one falsehood that: Almighty God Tests The Strength of One’s Faith in God. They teach that when you have to face hardships, disasters, illnesses, that this is Almighty God Testing your Faith in Him. How ultimately ludicrous is that?

It is a good thing when The Lord Tests our Faith or when He Proves us – The proving by The Lord produces patience, endurance, Strong Faith, and strong character – it brings out our inner strength in Him and it establishes our ability in The Lord – the Testing/Proving of our Faith shows us that our Faith is Genuine, and it Draws us closer to The Lord.

Testing is how we determine where we are at with whomever we are attempting to build a relationship. It’s how we know what “trusting God” really means. Our Faith is The Spiritual Pathway to a relationship with God.

2.lacking nothing

to have everything one needs; their children too lack/want for nothing.

Wait patiently for God to Manifest His Promise to you. Faith and patience are called The Power Twins. Together they Will Produce every time. Patience without Faith has no power to call into reality the thing desired. Faith Opens The Door to The Promise of God, but it is patience that keeps The Door open until God Manifests The Promise. The power of patience is a working power. When Faith Has A Tendency to Waver, it is patience that comes to Faith’s aid to make Faith keep Believing. The power of patience is necessary to under-gird Faith.

it is one thing planning an initiative and another thing implementing it. Planning paints the ideal perfect picture but the implementation process reveals the realities on the ground. That is when you get to battle with the 3 enemies: resistance, stress and pain. To overcome these, you need a virtue known as ‘Endurance’ (or sometimes called ‘patience’)

We can simply define Endurance as, ‘the inward ability to withstand resistance, pain and stress without giving up on an intended goal.’ Without endurance (patience), visions and dreams never see the light of day. Endurance (patience) is able to translate a desire into an achievement within a space of time.

Your Heavenly Father is Interested in you becoming a man/woman with the ability to endure all circumstances. Your strength is measured according to your level of endurance. That is why from time to time, God Has to put us through trials (to Test out Faith), so that The Testing of our Faith Will Produce endurance (or Patience): (to Prove us).

Do you feel like giving up because you have been going through some form of resistance, stress, or pain? If only you are Convicted that you have taken the right path before God, don’t give up. You are closer to your breakthrough than when you began. Allow endurance (patience) to perfect its work in your life.

Do not let the fear of finances, family, or failure, kill your God Given vision. Keep enduring (be patient) as you strive forward; one step at a time. Sooner than you envisage, endurance (patience) will make you perfect and complete, not deficient (not lacking) in anything. In these last days, may God Grant you Grace to endure (be patient), Amen.

Heavenly Father,

Please Strengthen me with Grace to be able to endure (be patient throughout) all the processes that may come my way, as I surge forward to fulfill Your Blessed Plans for my life.
