NKJV, Luke 21:19 â âIn your patience possess ye your soulsâ.
CEV, âIn your patience possess ye your soulsâŚâ
The words above are the Words of Jesus, and Heâs Telling you to always be in control while you wait; itâs an attitude of victory. You may not always be in control of your circumstances, but you are always in control of your heart. When youâre confident in the Lord, in His Ability and Power at Work in and through you, nothing shakes you. As you surrender completely to Christ, God will be in Control, and the devil will not be. Perhaps you suddenly received news that your spouse, child, or a loved one has been rushed to the theater for an emergency procedure. Instead of being rattled, be in charge and in control. Donât start pacing the floor, edgy about the situation: relax. Take charge! Never panic or be overwhelmed with fear when you face dire circumstances or opposition; maintain your composure and use your authority in Christ. Pray in rest, for Heâs brought us into His rest. Take a hold of Godâs Word, knowing who you are and your authority in Christ, and then issue commands. Tame the situation. The challenges you face are âbreadâ for you; theyâre the springboard to your next and higher level of glory. Thatâs why the Bible says, âCount it all joy when you go through diverse testsâ (James 1:2). 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 calls the adversities you face âlight afflictions,â transient and short-lived troublesâthey produce for you a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. Thereâs nothing in this world that should get you ruffled or agitated. Meditate on these words of Jesus in John 16:33 AMPC: âI have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you].â
CONFESSION
Iâm in charge and in control of my life and circumstances. Iâm strong, bold, and courageous, functioning from a vantage position of rest, because God has separated me from the world and given me a life of Faith and victory through the Word. I live victoriously and triumphantly above sickness, disease, inflation, and terror. Iâm more than a conqueror, for âgreater is He thatâs in me than he thatâs in the worldâ.
Hallelujah!
