Hebrews 12: 2 “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” (KJV)

Philippians 2:9-11 “9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: 10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; 11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (KJV)

For a person to go to all lengths to sacrifice and make a positive impact in society, there has to be a motivating reward. Jesus was Successful on earth because He was motivated by the Joy of eternal Glory.

Any success story that does not transcend the present to touch generations unborn is no success at all. That is why truly great people aim at leaving a legacy that will last for generations. Our Lord Jesus is the greatest Person to have ever walked on earth because every generation that will ever rise, will still be beneficiaries of His mission on earth.

There was an eternal Joy set before Him that motivated Him to strive on in spite of the shame and pain. Today, Jesus is Sitting at the Father’s right Hand in eternal glory. The Father has Elevated Him to the highest Honour. Until we are motivated by eternal glory in Heaven, we will never be ready to make certain sacrifices necessary to please God and to bring life success.

What motivates you to do what you do? Is it perishable earthly materials, or the hope to live in Glory and heavenly mansions forever? I refuse to exchange my eternal blessings for earthly glory. Do you really have Heaven in mind in all you do? The economic hardships, food pollution, and immorality point to the fact that this world will soon come to an end. What is your motivation? Think about this.

Heavenly Father, today, I fix my eyes on the eternal Glory that awaits those who stay Righteous and faithful to You. Please Help me to stay focused on making a positive impact in my generation, so that I may be called a good and faithful servant. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
