YOU WILL NOT BE PUT TO SHAME

NKJV, Isaiah 50:7 “For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.”

CEV, Isaiah 50:7 “But the Lord God keeps me from being disgraced. So I refuse to give up, because I know God will never let me down.”

Responding to the call to walk with God is a unique call but then, it sometimes attracts the mockery of the ungodly and the unwise. When a young lady decides to keep herself pure until marriage because of her fear of God, she is likely to be mocked at, that her conviction will not last the test of time. People will be awaiting her moment of shame.

When a person quits his job in response to God’s call to the ministry, some people will mock him as though he is about to waste his life away. Some feel, he is sacrificing his life for a worthless cause. When a person denounces his past life to give his life to Jesus Christ, those he once associated with tend to anticipate a day of regret and disgrace upon him.

However, one thing such mockers are ignorant of is God Almighty Commits Himself to walking with anyone who stands for Him. Isaiah gave his testimony of how God called him, empowered him, and stood with him firmly as his helper in the ministry. (Isaiah 50:4-7). He expressed that he was so steadfast as a rock and certainly assured that God would never put him to shame. Of a truth, the name ‘Isaiah’ has come to stay as a name of honor because of God’s faithfulness in his life.

Beloved, let it sink in your heart and mind that God will never put you to shame. Yours is to continue steadily in the Faith. He has promised to be your ever-present help in times of need and He will do exactly that. Do not look back in times of difficulty, but readily call on the Name of the LORD and He will come through for you.

I want to inspire you today. Come to that place of assurance in your heart that God is faithful and will not put you to shame. Your life is about to be the reference point of blessings. Those who seek to mock at you and anticipate your disgrace will be put to shame. But your God will continually lift your head up high. God will not put you to shame; never forget that!

prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You very much for this great assurance of Your continual help in my life. I am steadfastly resolved as a flint that I will not be put to shame. Thank You LORD, in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
